The country

If I moved to the country
I would hear more birds,
eat less ethnic food
and see fewer crazies
covered in piss and faeces in the metro

but I cannot move to the country,
fifty percent of the world is here
sucking on the petrochemical tit
and until that changes
my place is among them.
